Police Find Five Shooting Wounds To Shooting Victims In Samarinda

The police revealed the findings of five gunshot wounds on the body of the shooting victim that occurred at a nightclub on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Samarinda, East Kalimantan. This was discovered after the autopsy process on the victim's body with the initials DIP (35).

Samarinda Police Chief Kombes Pol Hendri Umar explained that gunshot wounds were spread across several parts of the victim's body. Two shots hit the chest, one in the stomach, and two others in the back.

"The autopsy was carried out until 16.30 WITA, and the body has been handed over to the family," said Hendri, Sunday, May 4.

This shooting incident shocked local residents. The victim died at the scene after being bombarded with bullets by an unknown perpetrator.

A joint team from the Satreskrim Polresta Samarinda and Jahtanras Polda Kaltim are still investigating. A number of witnesses have been examined and efforts to identify the perpetrators are still ongoing.

Based on the pattern of gunshot wounds, the police suspect the victim was executed from close range. It is suspected that the perpetrator did intend to kill the victim in a planned manner.

"We are still investigating the motive and hunting down the perpetrators. The initial indications lead to premeditated murder," said Hendri.

The police appealed to the public to remain calm and submit the legal process to the authorities. This case adds to the list of armed violence at night entertainment locations, which are known to be prone to conflict in Samarinda.
