Presiden Prabowo Dijadwalkan Berpidato Saat May Day 2025 Di Monas

Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi said that President Prabowo Subianto was scheduled to make a speech while attending the commemoration of International Labor Day or May Day which was held by a joint Indonesian union in the Monas area, Central Jakarta, Thursday, May 1.

"Mr. President immediately responded and God willing tomorrow he will be present tomorrow at the commemoration of International Labor Day," Prasetyo said after a gathering with the union at the parliament complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 30, was confiscated by Antara.

The Minister of State Secretary said that President Prabowo considers workers or laborers to be pillars of the economy so that the government, the private sector, industry, and all policy makers must cooperate with labor elements.

According to him, all parties must unite and move forward together to seek prosperity. Do not let any party benefit from exceeding from other parties.

"Of course, it remains within the framework and applicable mechanisms and we can discuss everything, if something is not right," he said.

Prasetyo said that all parties must understand that the current geopolitical situation is uncertain.

According to him, private parties or entrepreneurs must be introspective of themselves and open the widest possible communication with workers or trade unions.

On the other hand, Prasetyo asked that all union elements must also unite to achieve the ideals of national economic growth reaching 8 percent.

The May Day agenda which will be attended by President Prabowo Subianto will be held by the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI) in the Monas area, Central Jakarta, Thursday, May 1, 2025.

In the commemoration, KSPI raised six main issues that were demanded by workers, namely the elimination of outsourcing, ratification of the Housework Bill, protection of workers in the new Employment Act, realization of decent wages, ratification of the Asset Confiscation Bill, and the establishment of a task force to prevent mass layoffs.
