Winning Pramono-Rano In The Jakarta Regional Head Election, Cak Lontong Appointed As Ancol Commissioner

JAKARTA - Lies Hartono, a comedian who has been known as Cak Lontong's stage name, has now received a new job. After successfully winning Pramono Anung-Rano Karno in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada, Cak Lontong was appointed as Commissioner of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk.

This appointment was determined at the Ancol annual general meeting of shareholders (AGMS) when Pramono-Rano had served as Governor-Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta for two months.

Cak Lontong's role in the Jakarta gubernatorial election contestation was not small. During the 2024 Pilkada period, Cak Lontong had a position as chairman of the Pramono-Rano winning team by bringing a cheerful campaign style.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government as the main shareholder of Ancol, 72 percent agreed to appoint Cak Lontong as commissioner of the regional-owned enterprise (BUMD).

"The GMS approved the replacement of members of the board of commissioners to strengthen future business supervision and strategies," said Ancol Corporate Communication, Daniel Windriatmoko in a written statement, quoted Monday, April 27.

Apart from Cak Lontong, there are other names appointed by shareholders to fill the position of board of commissioners. Among them are the former President Director (Managing Director) of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Irfan Setiaputra as President Commissioner (Komut) and Independent Commissioner.

Not only that, the former Governor of DKI Jakarta, Sutiyoso, was also again appointed by the DKI Provincial Government in Pramono's leadership as Commissioner of Ancol. Previously, Sutiyoso had served in the same position in the leadership of Anies Baswedan in August 2022 until he resigned in October 2023.

The appointment of the new board of commissioners is currently replacing Sofyan Abdul Djalil, who previously served as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner, as well as Henky Wijaya and Suhardi Alius who were previously in the position of Commissioner.

Meanwhile, the board of directors did not experience a reshuffle. Where the President Director is held by Winarto. Then, the Director is still held by Cahyo Satriyo Prakoso, Daniel Nainggolan, and Eddy Prastiyo.

In the annual GMS, Ancol also announced the reporting of the performance of the 2024 financial year. Throughout 2024, Ancol recorded operating revenues of IDR 1.266 trillion with the main contribution from the tourism segment of 75.11 percent, the rest coming from real estate and trade and services.

In addition, Ancol also distributed dividends of IDR 24 per share, totaling IDR 38.40 billion or 21.60 percent of net profit.

"Despite facing global economic challenges, rising raw material prices, and changing customer preferences, the company remains focused on innovation and operational efficiency, such as digitizing ticketing services, improving visitor facilities, and developing new rides, so as to manage to maintain revenue like last year," explained Daniel.
