Munarman's Arrest Evidence From Police Not Being Selective

JAKARTA - Member of Commission III DPR from the National Awakening Party (PKB) faction, Luqman Hakim assessed that the arrest of the former General Secretary of FPI Munarman by the Special Detachment 88 Anti-terror Police was carried out professionally.

According to him, the police must not selectively select anyone who is suspected of being involved in a criminal act of terrorism. What the police have done, said Luqman, is in accordance with the law.

"At any time, the National Police may not selectively choose. Anyone involved in a criminal act of terrorism must be dealt with firmly," said Luqman, Thursday, April 29.

Luqman assessed that the National Police would have sufficient preliminary evidence to process suspected terrorism.

"Densus 88 Anti-Terror Polri has been proven to work professionally, decisively and indiscriminately in taking action against terrorism crimes in the country," said Luqman.

Luqman admitted that Munarman's arrest was indeed a surprise. Because Rizieq Shihab's attorney is a public figure who has been active in YLBHI, namely a member of the fact-finding team in the Munir case.

"It turns out that he is strongly suspected of being a figure who drives the terrorist network in the country," said Luqman.
