Floods Resigning CPNS, Legislators Of DPR: People Become Victims, Government Must Evaluate

JAKARTA - A total of 1,957 prospective civil servants (CPNS) chose to resign, and this was highlighted sharply by Member of Commission II of the DPR RI, Ali Ahmad.

He called this incident a 'national disaster' due to the wrong policy of the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB), Rini Widyantini.

"The story is that almost two thousand CPNS are due to unprofessional governance. The majority have resigned because the placement location is too far from domicile," said Ali in Jakarta, Friday, April 25.

Ali, the PKB legislator from the East Java electoral district V, assessed that the decision of the Menpan RB did not consider reality on the ground and did not learn from solution policies, such as zoning systems in the world of education.

He added that CPNS who resigned did not only lose the opportunity to become ASN, but also threatened with sanctions, such as a ban on participating in the selection in the next period, according to Permenpan RB Number 27 of 2021. Even in several institutions, such as BIN, TNI, and Polri, backward can mean compensation or fines.

Ali also mentioned the low salary of ASN as a factor that exacerbates the situation. He urged the Menpan RB to immediately evaluate the total policy of ASN recruitment.

"If the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform continues to make blunders, the DPR will also be affected by the sap. Like when we postponed the appointment of PPPK and civil servants, we at the DPR were blasphemed by the people," he concluded.
