The East Aceh Police are investigating allegations of immorality or sexual abuse by a self-defense coach against his foster children, two underage girls.
East Aceh Police Chief AKBP Irwan Kurniadi said the alleged perpetrator had the initials IL (30), a resident of Idi Rayeuk District, East Aceh Regency.
"The perpetrator has been arrested and is now being held at the East Aceh Police. The perpetrator is a karate coach, while the victim is a teenager," said Irwan in Rayeuk, East Aceh, Antara, Thursday, April 24.
The victims were 15 and 16 years old. The alleged sexual abuse took place between July and December 2024, but began to be revealed in March 2025.
"The alleged sexual abuse of the two young women was revealed on Tuesday, March 11. At that time, IL's wife came to the house of the victim's parents, accusing the young woman of having an affair with her husband," he said.
However, said Irwan, the victim denied the allegations. On the other hand, the victim confessed to her parents being harassed by IL, none other than her coach in pursuing karate.
"The immoral act was allegedly carried out by IL around July and December 2024, and the victim's parents had reported the case to the police," he said.
Based on the results of the investigation, the modus operandi of the perpetrator by inviting the victim to come to the house discussed the karate training ground. When he was at IL's house, the victim was abused. Likewise, other victims experienced the same actions of the perpetrators in July 2024.
"At that time, the victim practiced karate, suddenly IL hugged and kissed the victim from behind. The act was repeated when the perpetrator took the victim to his house," he said.
In investigating this case, investigators confiscated the victim's clothes. The perpetrators were also almost judged by the residents after learning that they had harassed their foster children to practice self-defense.
East Aceh Police Investigators ensnared IL with Article 47 of Aceh Qanun Number 6 of 2014 concerning Jinayat Law, with a maximum penalty of 90 lashes or a fine of 900 grams of pure gold and or 90 months in prison.
