JAKARTA - Dozens of regional tax objects, namely minimarkets and restaurants that are in arrears of tax obligations spread across Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta, have seal stickers installed.
The installation of regional tax arrears stickers is carried out by joint officers consisting of the Regional Tax Collection Service Unit (UP3D), Satpol PP, Polri and TNI.
Head of UP3D Kemayoran District, Joko Dedy, said that the installation of routine stickers is carried out in order to optimize regional tax revenues in 2025.
"The optimization activity is carried out as an extensification effort in the form of supervision and prosecution of tax collection, one of which is the billboard tax. We hope that after the sticker is installed, the business owner pays the regional tax stipulation," he said when confirmed, Thursday, April 24.
According to Joko, in the first stage as many as 43 objects will be installed with regional tax arrears stickers that last for the next two days with a total tax stipulation of Rp. 143.9 million.
"The installation of stickers in Kemayoran District will be carried out in four stages with a target of disbursement of arrears of IDR 26 billion by the end of 2025," he said.
Joko explained, as many as 17 of the 43 objects that were installed with stickers were minimarkets that were in arrears of billboard tax obligations.

The billboard tax is annual, so the minimarket owner first registers before the installation.
"After the maturity of the broadcast period, it is obligatory to extend the object of the billboard which is still installed," he said.
UP3D Kemayoran, Joko continued, will send a forced billing letter to taxpayers who are still stubborn about not fulfilling their obligations after the installation of regional tax arrears stickers.
This is in accordance with the mandate of Pergub Number 90 of 2017 concerning the procedures for billing with a forced letter.
"The forced letter collection will continue to be confiscated if the business owner is still stubborn. We give a deadline of 21 days after the payment maturity. The process starts from notifications, warnings, forced letters to warrants for confiscation," he said.
Joko appealed to the tax arrears stickers that had been installed not to be damaged, removed or transferred because they would be subject to criminal sanctions in accordance with applicable legal regulations.
