Bodies In Sacks In Batuceper Allegedly Died 2-3 Days Before Being Found

TANGERANG Police suspect that the victim who was found dead in a sack on Jalan Daan Mogot Km 21, Batuceper, Tangerang City, had died two to three days before his body was found.

"Seeing the pattern of death of the victim, it is estimated that he had died for 2'3 days before being found. This is in accordance with the results of the interim autopsy," said the Tangerang City Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Zain Dwi Nugroho, Wednesday (23/4).

Zain explained that the results of the interim autopsy also showed the presence of a number of wounds on the victim's body. The wounds on the cheeks, face, and jaw are thought to have been caused by a blunt object. Meanwhile, open wounds were found on the right hand, fingers, and left forehead, which were thought to have been caused by sharp objects.

"We are still waiting for the final autopsy results to determine the complete cause of death of the victim," he added.

Previously, the body of the unidentified man was found by residents after kissing a pungent smell on the side of the road.

Residents who passed by smelled an unpleasant odor from a sack. After being examined, it turned out that the sack contained a male corpse, "said Head of Public Relations of the Tangerang City Metro Police, AKP Prapto Lasono.

The discovery shocked local residents and was immediately reported to the police. Until now, the police are still conducting an investigation to reveal the identity of the victim and the perpetrator behind the case.
