Attorney General's Office Examines First Phase Files Of FPI Laskar Unlawful Killing Case

JAKARTA - Junior Attorney General for General Crimes at the Attorney General's Office (Jampidum Kejagung) received the transfer of the first case files for the alleged shooting crime of four members of the FPI Laskar, known as "unlawful killing".

Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapupenum) Attorney General Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak said Jampidum received the transfer of case files from Bareskrim Polri for the two suspects on behalf of FR and MYO.

Leonard said, after receiving the case file, the case file will then be investigated by the Research Attorney (Attorney P-16). Files are examined for seven days to determine whether the case files are formal or material (P.18).

"And seven days to provide instructions (P.19) if the case files are not complete," he said.

In this case, 3 members of Polda Metro Jaya were named as suspects. However, during the investigation process, one of the suspects with the initials EPZ died due to a single accident.

"For the suspect on behalf of EPZ based on Article 109 of the Criminal Procedure Code in question died, the investigation was stopped, so that the case file filed 2 suspects, namely on behalf of F and Y," said Head of Public Relations Division of the Indonesian Police Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan.
