Mimika Hospital Immediately Implements A "KRIS" System To Change Class System Services

TIMIKA - Mimika Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Central Papua will immediately implement the Standard Inpatient Class (KRIS) replacing BPJS Kesehatan class system services.

Mimika Hospital Director Antonius Pasulu in Timika, Saturday, said the implementation of the KRIS has been stated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 59 of 2024 concerning the Third Amendment to Presidential Decree Number 82 of 2018 concerning Health Insurance.

"We have been preparing since 2024 because there are 12 facilities that must be met by the hospital," he said.

According to Pasulu, the implementation of the KRIS has been conveyed thoroughly at the hospital and its implementation no later than June 30, 2025.

"We are committed to continuing to improve service quality and ensure that all patients receive treatment that complies with the latest standards," he said.

He explained that the 12 criteria that must be met in implementing the KRIS BPJS Kesehatan system include treatment rooms that must have ventilation that meets air exchange at least six times per hour and room lighting must reach 250 Lux for public lighting and 50 Lux for lighting.

"Then every bed must be equipped with two electric boxes and a nurses call, then there is a small table or health worker for each bed," he said again.

He added that in addition, room temperature must be maintained up to 26 degrees Celsius and the room must be divided according to gender, age and type of disease (infection and non-infection).

"A maximum of four beds per room with a minimum distance of 1.5 meters between the edges of the bed, curtain or partition installed with the rail on the ceiling or hanging and each inpatient room must have an independent bathroom that meets accessibility standards," he said.

He said the bathroom must also be equipped with handles and other facilities that meet standards and oxygen outlets are available in the inpatient room and room temperature must continue to be controlled by adequate cooling.
