TASIKMALAYA - Tasikmalaya Regent Ade Sugianto stated that there should be no more re-voting (PSU) because it will waste money to support the implementation of the PSU for the Regional Head Election (Pilkada) of Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java.
"Don't waste the money," said Ade Sugianto after giving his voting rights at the Voting Station (TPS) 7 Sukahaji, Singasari Village, Sipangarna District, Tasikmalaya, Saturday.
He said the implementation of the Tasikmalaya Pilkada PSU was held based on the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK), the decision was an effort to provide better leaders in Tasikmalaya Regency.
The PSU for the Tasikmalaya Pilkada, he said, was an effort by prospective leaders to compete to get a lot of support from the community, not become a hostile event.
"That this is just a contestation, not hostility," said Ade Sugianto.
Ade previously ran as a regent candidate in the 2024 Pilkada, but by the Constitutional Court he was disqualified because he had more than two terms which finally the Tasikmalaya KPU had to hold a PSU.

Furthermore, Ade was replaced by his wife Ai Dieantani to compete as a regent candidate for the votes of the people of Tasikmalaya Regency at PSU Pikada Tasikmalaya.
"Hopefully this will be part of my efforts as a citizen who complies with the state with the rules, and thank God it can go well," he said.
He hopes that the implementation of the PSU can run smoothly, with full respect, and especially the people of Tasikmalaya Regency are willing to take the time to come to the TPS to give their voting rights back.
"That is the most important thing, public participation is a measure of the success of an election," he said.
Ade said that so far as a human being, he could only try, and pray, completely left to Allah SWT so that in the future Tasikmalaya Regency would get a good leader to bring people more advanced, developed and prosperous.
He hopes that the results of the Tasikmalaya Pilkada PSU run smoothly, the people receive, and together keep Tasikmalaya Regency safe, and comfortable.
"In the end, hopefully we are safe, we are comfortable, we are peaceful with each other, respect each other, respect, which is clear about the holding of this election, hopefully we can protect it together," he said.
PSU Tasikmalaya was followed by three pairs of candidates, namely serial number 1 pair Iwan Saputra-Dede Muksit Aly, serial number 2 pair Cecep Nurul Yakin (resist Deputy Regent of Tasikmalaya)-Asep Sopari Al-AyUBi, and serial number 3 pair Ai Diantani (replacement of candidate for Regent Ade Sugianto)-Ilip Miftahul knowledge.
PSU Pilkada Tasikmalaya has a permanent voter list (DPT) of 1,418,928 people spread across 2,847 polling stations, in 351 villages, 39 sub-districts.
The Tasikmalaya Regency KPU held a PSU as a follow-up to the Constitutional Court's decision on the Tasikmalaya Pilkada to be disqualified and must be repeated.
The Constitutional Court decided that the candidate for Regent of Tasikmalaya in the previous regional election, Ade Sugianto, was proven to have served as regent for more than two terms, so he was not allowed to participate as a participant in the regional election, so the implementation was repeated.
