Nearly IDR 1 Billion Fund Allegedly Embezzled, Case Of MBG Kalibata Enters Legal Process

JAKARTA Two witnesses, namely Ira Mesra and Danna Harly, underwent examination at the South Jakarta Metro Police regarding the alleged embezzlement of kitchen operational funds *Eating Free Nutrition* (MBG) in Kalibata, Pancoran, South Jakarta. This case concerns nearly Rp1 billion in funds.

Ira Mesra, who is a kitchen partner of MBG Kalibata, previously reported the Media Berkat Nusantara Foundation (MBN) to the police through her attorney, Dana Harly. The examination of the two took place on Friday 18 April since 10.00 WIB.

"The reporter and victim were questioned today at the South Jakarta Police," said Dana when confirmed.

Head of the Public Relations Section of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Nurma Dewi, said that previously the foundation and Ira had tried to take the mediation route, even the Kalibata MBG kitchen had returned to operation. However, the report continues because the reporting party has not withdrawn the police report that has been made.

"For now, the report is still ongoing," said Nurma.

This case began when Ira collaborated as a partner of the MBG Program with the MBN Foundation and the Kalibata Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) from February to March 2025. During that period, Ira had cooked and distributed around 65,025 servings of food, which were divided into two stages.

The initial agreement agreed on a price of Rp. 15 thousand per serving. However, in the middle of the road, part of the portion was converted to Rp. 13 thousand per serving. The foundation is said to have known about this price change before the signing of the contract in December 2024.

Problems arise when the second phase of disbursement of funds has not been paid by the foundation. Ira and the team felt disadvantaged and considered that there was no transparency from the SPPG, so they decided to end their cooperation as MBG partners and report the foundation to the authorities.
