Central Jakarta Metro Police deployed 133 personnel to guard thousands of congregations of Mass 2025 at the Cathedral Church, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, Thursday, April 17, afternoon.

At the Mass service, 3,200 congregations are predicted to visit the Cathedral Church. Masses are led by Father Edi, Father Mahar, and Father BS Mardi.

Meanwhile, 133 Central Jakarta Metro Police officers who were deployed began to regulate traffic and guard at the entrance to the church.

Not only that, the police were also deployed to patrol the area around the Cathedral church.

The first Mass service was held on Thursday morning led by Cardinal Ignatius Suharyo. Around 1,600 congregations attended the mass this morning.

Then the second Mass service was held on Thursday afternoon at around 16.00 WIB. At this second mass, there were around 3,200 congregations present.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro said the entire series of worship was safe, orderly, and solemn.

"This is the result of the cooperation of all parties, including the community and officers in the field," he said when confirmed.

Mass service will continue until Thursday night, with the next two sessions at 18.30 WIB and 21.00 WIB. Thousands of congregations are expected to continue arriving until the last mass.

"Security is not just a matter of maintaining order, but also about providing a sense of security for those who come to worship. We make sure everything goes smoothly, without disturbing the sincerity of the people," he said.
