Prabowo Inaugurates Papuan Governor Mountains And Babel Islands At The Palace

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated the Governor and Deputy Governor of Papua Mountains, John Tabo-Ones Pahabol and the Governor and Deputy Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands, Hidayat Arsani-Hellyana.

The inauguration, which was led directly by the President, was held at the State Palace, Jakarta, Thursday, April 17.

"By Allah, I swear, by God I promise, I will fulfill my obligations as governor, as deputy governor, as well as possible and fairly. Upholding the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and carrying out all laws and regulations as straight as possible, and serving the people of the homeland and nation," said the governor and deputy governor who were sworn in following the text of the oath of office read by President Prabowo.

Furthermore, President Prabowo pinned a sign of office to the Governor of Papua Mountains and the Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands and the signing of the minutes of the inauguration ceremony.

The inauguration agenda was closed with congratulations from President Prabowo and members of the Red and White Cabinet and other important officials present.

Today's inauguration is based on Presidential Decree Number 39P of 2025 concerning Dismissal, Ratification, and Appointment of Governors and Deputy Governors for 2025-2030.

Previously, President Prabowo had also inaugurated 961 regional heads and deputy heads simultaneously at the Jakarta Presidential Palace Complex, Thursday, February 20.
