JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated land owned by farmers purchased by PT Sanitarindo Tangsel Jaya (STJ) for a land acquisition project around the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) which ended up being corrupted.
KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika said the confiscation was carried out after investigators worked on 13 witnesses in the land acquisition corruption case. The examination was carried out at the South Lampung Police on Monday, April 14.
The witnesses examined were farmers named Intanmas, Mansur Bin Umar, M. Nur Bin Solihin, Ali Hasan, Zainul, Rosilun Yusuf, Hariri, and Pendawa.
Then also examined by civil servants (PNS) named Qorinilwan; Abdul Rahman Rasid and Andi Rifai RD. Son; Mansur Bin Kasim Kasman who is a casual daily laborer; and Abbas.
"Investigators confiscated the land parcel because the land had only been paid 10-20 percent by PT STJ while the letter had been deposited with a notary. The letter has also been confiscated," Tessa told reporters, Tuesday, April 15.
This confiscation, called Tessa, was carried out by investigators to be returned to farmers who had not been paid. "Considering that so far the status of the land is unclear because the remaining payments cannot be paid by PT STJ," he said.
Tessa also explained that so far the letter could not be taken by the farmers. Because they can't pay the notary.
"The letters are stuck in a notary and the farmers do not have the ability to return the down payment," explained the spokesman with the background.

In addition to confiscation, investigators also explored the purchase of the land from 13 witnesses.
"Investigators re-confirmed the sale of land in the Kalianda area, South Lampung which was carried out by farmers to PT STJ, which was then sold by PT STJ to PT Hutama Karya," he explained.
Previously reported, the KPK has named three suspects in the corruption case in land acquisition for the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) carried out by PT Hutama Karya (Persero) in 2018-2020. They are BP as the former President Director of PT Hutama Karya; former Head of the Division of PT Hutama Karya; and IZ from the private sector in the JTTS land acquisition corruption case.
It's just that the detention has not been carried out because it is waiting for the calculation of state losses by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).
A suspect in this case, Iskandar Zulkarnaen has died. The KPK then decided to investigate allegations of corruption by focusing on asset recovery or recovering state losses.
