JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will continue his Middle East trip to Cairo, Egypt, on Friday afternoon, after attending the 2025 Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) event in Antalya City, Turkey, on Friday 11 April afternoon.

Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana, quoted by ANTARA, explained that the President's agenda in Cairo, Egypt, lasted one night.

"Mr President in Egypt one night. He will arrive on Friday evening, then on Saturday afternoon, he will continue his journey to Doha, Qatar," said Yusuf Permana.

In Cairo, President Prabowo is scheduled to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Saturday (12/4). In a meeting with President Sisi, President Prabowo plans to discuss the latest geopolitical situation, as well as consult on the situation in Gaza, following to consult Indonesia's plan to temporarily accommodate Palestinians who are victims of war in Gaza.

From Cairo, the President continued his visit to Doha, Qatar, then finally to Amman, Jordan. In Doha, President Prabowo carried out a state visit, while in Amman, President Prabowo will meet with Jordanian King Abdullah II to discuss and consult on Indonesia's plan to help the Palestinian people in Gaza.

President Prabowo, accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, visited five countries in the Middle East, namely the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, and Jordan, one of which was to consult on Indonesia's plan to help Palestinians victims of Israeli military genocide in Gaza.

"Indonesia is considered acceptable to all warring parties. I think this position makes us indeed have a responsibility, therefore I convey that Indonesia is ready if asked by all parties to play a role, we are ready to play a role in accordance with Indonesia's capacity and capabilities," said President Prabowo during a press conference in Jakarta a few minutes before the President started his visit, Wednesday (9/4) early morning.
