Case Chronology

This case stems from a report on alleged vehicle embezzlement by Agam Muhammad Nasruddin, the victim's son Ilyas Abdurahman, to the Rajeg Police, Tangerang Police. The rental car belonging to the victim's family, namely the orange Honda Brio with police number B 2694 KZO, was rented by someone named AS on January 2, 2025.

The car was then handed over to IH (fugitive), who used fake documents in the form of ID cards and families on behalf of the US to rent a car.

After being controlled, the vehicle was sold by IS and IH to a person with the initials RH for Rp. 23 million. RH then resold it to a member of the Indonesian Navy with the initials AA through an SJ intermediary for Rp. 40 million.

Tracked Car, Shooting Occurs

Although the GPS in the car has been damaged, the rental owner can still track the whereabouts of the vehicle because one in three GPS tools is still active. Agam, his father Ilyas, and several family members conducted independent searches to find out the car was in the Pandeglang area, Banten.

The pursuit continued until the car was at the Rest Area KM 45 of the Jakarta-Merak Toll Road, right in front of a minimarket. At that location there was a vehicle struggle between the rental and the new control of the car, which led to a commotion and shooting.

"There was a shooting in the attempt to seize the vehicle," said Banten Police Chief Inspector General Suyudi Ario Seto.

This case also dragged three members of the Indonesian Navy who were in separate handling by the military.
