Monas Expands Counters To Anticipate Visitors' Queues At The 2025 Eid Holiday

JAKARTA - The National Monument (Monas) is still one of the favorite destinations for visitors to travel to Jakarta. In order to anticipate a surge in visitors, the National Monument Manager added eight counters during the Eid 2025 holiday.

"To anticipate the surge in visitors, we are doing additional counters in collaboration with Bank DKI," said Head of Monas Regional Management Unit (UPK) Muhammad Isa Sarnuri in an official statement in Jakarta, citing ANTARA on Sunday, March 30.

Isa explained that apart from adding ticket counters, his party also prepared health services to cooperate with the DKI Jakarta Health Office.

"To provide first aid for visitors in need, as soon as visitors feel comfortable while traveling at Monas," he said.

Isa also explained that visitors can enjoy various services and facilities provided at Monas, including tourist trains, Monas peaks, sports facilities, reflection gardens, fountains, toilets, as well as souvenir centers and places to eat provided at Lenggang Jakarta IRTI.

"During the Lebaran holiday, the price for admission to Monas remains the same as the usual day, namely in the Monas area Rp. 0, at the Monas Peak for adult visitors Rp. 24 thousand and children Rp. 6 thousand," he said.

He also mentioned that during the Lebaran holiday, Monas will close on the first day of Eid al-Fitr. Then it will reopen operations on Tuesday, April 1.

"The Monas area began to open at 06.00 - 22.00 WIB, while the Monas Monument opened its service at 08.00 - 22.00 WIB, specifically on April 4 - 6, only open until 18.00," said Isa.

During the Eid holiday, Monas will present various attractions and arts, such as art performances, video "mapping", light festivals on April 4-6, as well as dance fountain performances.

Not to forget, Isa also appealed to all visitors who travel to Monas to continue to follow the rules and regulations conveyed by the officers, as well as to maintain cleanliness by disposing of garbage in its place.

The data compiled by ANTARA states that the average number of Monas daily visitors varies depending on weekdays, weekends, and holiday periods.

On weekdays, the number of visitors ranged from 2,000 to 3,000 people per day. Meanwhile, on weekends, this number could increase by three times, reaching around 9,000 people per day.

During the holiday period or holidays, the number of visitors can increase significantly. For example, on the 2019 Eid holiday, the number of Monas visitors reached 90,174 people in one day.

In addition, ahead of the turn of 2024, the Monas area recorded visits of 127,605 people in one day.
