Ojol Driver Gets A Holiday Bonus, Prabowo: If You Can Add It, This Is An Appeal, Right?

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto appealed to online transportation application provider companies to increase the amount of the holiday bonus (BHR) they provide to driver-partners (online motorcycle taxi drivers/ojol).

The Minister of Manpower in his circular letter number M / 3 / HK.04 / III / 2025 concerning the Provision of Religious Holiday Bonuses in 2025 regulates the provision of holiday bonuses for driver partners to be set at 20 percent of their average monthly income over the past 12 months.

"I heard they would receive approximately Rp. 1 million per job, but I appealed to private entrepreneurs, if possible, add it. This appeals, if you appeal, right? There is no coercion," said President Prabowo Subianto during the Plenary Cabinet Session at the President's office, Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Friday, March 21.

The President then said that employers must pay attention to workers and their partners, especially if they have benefited a lot from their business.

"Entrepreneurs must know, if the time is good, they are profitable, yes he must also pay attention to the workers. In fact, these workers provide benefits for him," said the President.

Prabowo also said that the government's success in seeking holiday bonuses for driver-partners was due to good cooperation with the private sector.

The President on March 10, 2025 announced that the government has received a commitment from online transportation companies for holiday bonuses. At the same event, the President also appealed to online transportation companies to provide holiday/holiday allowance bonuses to driver-partners.

"This year, the government pays special attention to drivers and couriers who have made important contributions in supporting transportation and logistics services in Indonesia. For this reason, the government appeals to all application-based transportation service companies to provide holiday bonuses to couriers and online drivers in the form of cash by considering work activities," said the President during a press conference at the Palace on March 10.

The President's appeal was then welcomed by a number of online transportation companies, including the two largest GoTo companies that oversee Gojek and Grab.
