JAKARTA - The guard at the Bandengan Utara railway, Pekojan, Tambora, West Jakarta with the initial name AG (40) has been arrested by West Jakarta Metro Police officers. AG is known to stab his colleague AA (56) to death.

West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Ady Wibowo said the stabbing took place on Thursday, April 15. This was triggered by the perpetrator's suspicion that AA distributed the money from guarding the railroad doors unfairly.

"He (the suspect) was on guard from 06.00 WIB to 11.00 WIB on average given Rp. 70 thousand by the victim. But at that time, the suspect was always given Rp. 60 thousand to Rp. 65 thousand, (the suspect suspected) of discrimination, and (suspicion) it has been detained for up to two years, "said Ady during a live broadcast via the @polres_jakbar Instagram account, Monday, April 26.

For two years of being suspicious, AG's anger peaked. He asked AA why his hard earned money always decreased. Not satisfied with the victim's answer, there was an argument that led to the throwing of a bench at the victim.

The police chief said the suspect's bench hit the victim's back. The victim fought back, but was less agile than the perpetrator who immediately took a knife and stabbed the victim's neck.

"Perpetrators used to carry knives to protect themselves," said Ady.

The victim died on the spot after losing a lot of blood due to stab wounds on the back of the left side of the neck, to be precise near his ear, about 8 centimeters wide.

After stabbing the victim, the suspect fled and threw his knife and clothes around the train tracks at the scene.

Ady said the suspect was on the run for four days before being arrested by the police on Monday, April 19. The suspect admitted that at that time he was hiding in one of his family homes in Tangerang, Banten.

Because of his actions, the police imposed Article 338 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) on Murder and Article 351 of the Criminal Code on Persecution of Death to the suspect.

"The threat (sentence) of 15 years in prison," said Ady emphasized.
