Healing Demo, Students And People Throw Stones At Each Other At The Apparatus

JAKARTA - Masses from various elements of society continue to hold demonstrations against the revision of the TNI Law in front of the DPR RI Building, Central Jakarta, on Thursday, March 20.

During the action, the masses began throwing stones, plastic filled with water, and sandals into the courtyard of the DPR RI Building. Not only that, thick black smoke and a large fire were seen rising in the front area, precisely at the Main Gate.

The fire broke out after a number of demonstrators poured gasoline and turned it on with a lighter. The fire caused the front gate of the DPR RI to blacken, especially because banners attached to the fence caught fire.

This incident caught the attention of the orators and other students who took part in the action. However, the police swiftly sprayed water using a water cannon car to extinguish the fire.

This police action sparked anger from the masses, who then shouted and rebuked the authorities. Luckily, the fire was extinguished quickly.

Until now, the demonstrators are still at the location to voice their aspirations, even though the Indonesian House of Representatives has passed the TNI Bill.
