Plenary Ratification Of The TNI Bill Will Still Be Held Even Though There Are Still Rejection Actions

"Yes, so actually today's plenary meeting agenda there are several, including the ratification of the TNI bill into law," said Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, March 20.

Dasco said that political dynamics usually occur in democracy. The leadership of the DPR together with Commission I of the DPR, he said, had also held a dialogue with the public regarding changes to the TNI Law.

"Yes, his name is also a political dynamic, right, democracy, I think it's okay for those who still haven't accepted the TNI Bill. But we have made our best efforts, carried out intense communication with some or most elements of society who have an interest in the TNI Bill which was revised some time ago," said Dasco.

"We have spoken with student groups, NGO groups including the civil society coalition, we invite dialogue and provide input that we also accommodate and mean for the TNI Bill (can be passed) today," continued the daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP.

The following is the agenda of the plenary meeting held today:

1.Pembicaraan Tingkat II/Pengambilan Keputusan terhadap RUU Tentang Perubahan Atas Undang-Undang Nomor 34 Tahun 2004 Tentang Tentara Nasional Indonesia;2.Pendapat fraksi-fraksi terhadap 10 RUU tentang Kabupaten/Kota usul inisiatif Komisi II DPR RI dilanjutkan dengan pengambilan Keputusan menjadi RUU Usul DPR RI sebagai berikut:1.
