The Grand Mosque And The Prophet's Mosque Are Ready To Welcome The Itikaf Congregation Starting Thursday Night

JAKARTA - The Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Medina, Saudi Arabia is ready to welcome pilgrims who want to do Itikaf in the last 10 nights of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The presidency of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque improved the location of the Itikaf Prayers in the Two Holy Mosques by offering a series of enriching scientific lessons and guidance, the circle of studies of the Qur'an, to distributing copies of the Holy Qur'an and guidance pamphlets, as quoted from SPA March 19.

The plan, Itikaf will start on Thursday night or the 21st night of Ramadan 1446 Hijriyah.

The presidency pays great attention to enriching the experience of those who perform the Itikaf prayer at the Two Holy Mosques and preparing a solemn atmosphere in the prayer room.

This highlights the importance of Itikaf worship and the need to provide proper spiritual enrichment, dedication and obedience, increasing the solemnity of the holy month.

Authorities continue to strive to develop services at Al-Haramain by creating qualitative solutions that contribute to improving visitor experience and those implementing Itikaf, in accordance with the highest quality and management standards, quoted from HIMPUH.

Previously, the authorities opened online registration for pilgrims who wanted to commit Itikaf at the Grand Mosque, Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Medina in the Holy Month of Ramadan this year starting March 5.

The General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque appealed to those who wish to carry out the worship to choose a mosque, apply for registration, watch educational videos to familiarize themselves with the worship, and review the requirements that must be met during the itikaf period, which takes place from 20 Ramadan to the end of the Isha Prayer the night before Eid al-Fitr, quoted from Arab News.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and are citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, or have a valid population status. Free itikaf permits and registration requests can be submitted at eserv.wmn.gov.sa.

Itikaf is the act of staying in the mosque for the last 10 days of Ramadan. During this time, people devoted themselves to worship Allah SWT as long as what Muslims considered the 10 best nights of the year.

It is known that government agencies in Makkah, Saudi Arabia are improving the best service for pilgrims, including Umrah pilgrims, with the estimated increase in pilgrims from within and outside the country during the month of Ramadan.
