JAKARTA - British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said it was important for Britain and its allies to respond immediately in the event of a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
Starmer's remarks were delivered during a visit to the nuclear submarine facility on Thursday, March 20, when military chiefs from dozens of countries met in the UK to discuss planning a possible peacekeeping force in Ukraine.
"Our (plan) is focused on maintaining the security of the sky, marine security and border security in Ukraine, as well as working with the Ukrainian side," Starmer told reporters.
"We are working fast because we don't know if there will be an agreement. I certainly hope there will be, but if there is an agreement, it is very important for us to be able to respond immediately," he continued.
