Arriving In Sidoarjo, President Prabowo Continues To Gresik By TNI Helicopter

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto arrived at Juanda Airport, Sidoarjo, East Java, Monday 17 March, at 12.40 WIB.

The arrival of the head of state is to inaugurate the gold purification facility through PT Freeport Indonesia's Precious Metal Refinery (PMR) in Gresik and Gelora Delta Sidoarjo Stadium.

As received by the official statement on Monday, March 17, the arrival of the President in Sidoarjo was welcomed by the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Pangdam V/Brawijaya Maj. Gen. Rudy Saladin, and East Java Police Chief Inspector General Nanang Avianto.

From Sidoarjo, the President then continued his journey to Gresik Regency using the Indonesian Air Force Caracal Helicopter.

In Gresik, President Prabowo is scheduled to review the smelter area in the PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) area as well as inaugurate the largest integrated precious metal refinery (PMR) production in the world.

After that, President Prabowo returned to Sidoarjo Regency using the TNI Caracal Helicopter to then go to the Gelora Delta Sidoarjo Stadium to inaugurate the rehabilitation, renovation, and construction of 17 stadiums in Indonesia.

"The presence of the President in Gresik marks the government's commitment to encouraging the domestic mineral processing and refining industry. Meanwhile, the inauguration of rehabilitation and renovation, as well as the construction of stadiums are the government's concrete steps in improving sports facilities," said Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana in a written statement, confiscated by Antara.

Previously, the President and a limited entourage took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta at around 11.30 WIB. Also accompanying the President on a flight to East Java, namely Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
