Not Enough Evidence Made A Suspect, 2 Of The 8 People Caught OTT KPK Returned

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has repatriated two people after conducting an examination after a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, South Sumatra. Previously, eight people were caught OTT KPK on Saturday, March 15.

KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur Rahayu explained that the two people who were arrested by OTT were sent home because the KPK did not have enough evidence to make them suspects in the project bribery case in OKU Regency.

"The other two are because the results of us seeing what is called the facts of their actions are still not sufficient evidence, we have returned them because 1x24 hours have to be returned, it is determined whether he is actually a suspect or not," said Asep at the KPK's Red and White House, South Jakarta, Sunday, March 16.

Meanwhile, as many as 6 people have been named suspects and detained for 20 days at the KPK detention center.

The six suspects are Ferlan Juliansyah as a member of Commission III, M. Fahrudin as Chairman of Commission III, Umi Hartati as Chairman of Commission II of the OKU DPRD, Nopriannsyah Head of the OKU Regency PUPR Service, M. Fauzi alias Pablo as a private party, and Ahmad Sugeng Santoso as a private party.

"There were two people who gave it, then there were four recipients, namely the Head of PUPR, then three members of the OKU DPRD, and the two providers were private," said Asep.

Asep continued, the KPK also opened up opportunities to summon other OKU Regency DPRD members suspected of being involved in this corruption case.

It is possible that OKU Regent Teddy Meilwansyah is also on the radar of case development by the KPK. This is because the KPK suspects that Teddy will also attend the meeting of the evil conspiracy plan between the DPRD and the Head of the PUPR Service.

"For the other DPRD members, of course, we will ask for information, including a meeting with regent officials," said Asep.

Previously, the KPK conducted a hand arrest operation (OTT) on eight people in OKU Regency on Saturday, March 15. The KPK also secured Rp2.6 billion in cash from the OTT.

The six suspects are Ferlan Juliansyah as a member of Commission III, M. Fahrudin as Chairman of Commission III, Umi Hartati as Chairman of Commission II of the OKU DPRD, Nopriannsyah Head of the OKU Regency PUPR Service, M. Fauzi alias Pablo as a private party, and Ahmad Sugeng Santoso as a private party.

This malicious conspiracy began when the preparation of the OKU Regency APBD draft in 2025. Where representatives of the OKU Regency DPRD members asked for rations from physical projects at the PUPR Service from a number of projects with a value of Rp35 billion.

"The fee is still agreed upon at 20 percent, the allocation for DPRD members, so the total fee is IDR 7 billion," explained Setyo.

With this project allotment agreement, the DPRD also agreed on the budget allocation of the PUPR Service in the 2025 APBD which in the previous discussion was Rp48 billion to Rp96 billion or doubled when the APBD was ratified.

Then, the Head of the OKU PUPR Service, Nopriannsyah, offered 9 projects to Fauzi and Ahmad Sugeng Santoso with a commitment fee of 22 percent, of which 20 percent were for the DPRD and 2 percent for the PUPR Service.

When entering the month of Ramadan, representatives of the DPRD demanded a project fee from the Head of the PUPR Service Nopriansyah to be forwarded to the private sector so that the disbursement was carried out before Eid al-Fitr.

"On March 13, 2025, MFZ handed over Rp2.2 billion to N (Nopriansyah) which is part of the project fee commitment which was then requested by N. The money came from the down payment for project disbursement. In addition, in early March 2025, ASS handed over Rp1.5 billion in cash to N," explained Setyo.
