BANJARMASIN - The Central Banjarmasin Police, South Kalimantan, arrested 19 non-husband and wife couples who were caught in a hotel room during Ramadan, on Sunday morning.
"The illegal couple was caught when we carried out a raid on community diseases and created conditions in the month of Ramadan targeting jasmine class hotels," said Central Banjarmasin Police Chief Kompol Eka Suprianto in Banjarmasin, Antara, Sunday, March 16.
Kompol Eka said that the community's disease raids were carried out at around 01.00-05.00 WITA or Sunday morning.
The jasmine class hotels targeted in the raid were Rajawali Hotel and Guest House Steven Hotel, which are located close to the Taman Cambodia area, Central Banjarmasin.
"From each hotel we raided, we found a non-husband and wife couple who were fans and suspected of committing obscene acts," he explained.
Not only that, said the police chief, this raid was carried out to minimize immoral acts during Ramadan and also to anticipate crimes in hotel rooms.
"We will carry out routine community disease raids targeting this hotel room, one of which is following up on community reports related to the young tide of homecoming in Ramadan," he said.
