Transjakarta Operates Late At Night For Medical Personnel

JAKARTA - During the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) period, the operational hours of public transportation were limited to reduce the intensity of people leaving their homes.

All modes of public transportation in Jakarta are only limited from 06.00 to 18.00 WIB. However, specifically for medical officers, Transjakarta adds to the operational time of the corridors and buffer routes from 19.30 to 23.30 WIB every day.

"This service only applies to hospital and puskesmas personnel in Jakarta and does not apply to the general public. For the general public, Transjakarta services end at 6:00 p.m. WIB," said PR of PT Jakarta Transportation Nadia Diposanjoyo to reporters, Monday, April 123.

Medical personnel who can ride the Transjakarta fleet tonight include doctors, nurses, health facility workers, laboratory personnel and other hospital personnel such as cleaning service, security, catering staff, who still have to be active during the PSBB.

Special customers for hospitals and health centers who will board Transjakarta, said Nadia, need to bring proof by showing their identity card and letter of assignment to the bus stop officer.

"Transjakarta continues to urge people to stay #dirumahsaja if there is no urgent matter. Always maintain health and endurance in current conditions," said Nadia.

At present, DKI has implemented the Social Restriction Status with Big Brother (PSBB). The PSBB is valid for 2 weeks, namely 10-23 April. The duration of this event can be extended when needed.

In implementing the PSBB, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan prohibited people from gathering more than five people in public places. The goal is to reduce the potential for interaction.

Anies did not prohibit transportation access, both from Jakarta to outside the region and vice versa. Then, private vehicles that are still allowed to travel are only to fulfill basic needs and do work for a number of work sectors that are still allowed to operate outside. This applies to two-wheeled vehicles and four or more wheels.

Meanwhile, for four-wheeled vehicles or more, the number of passengers is reduced by 50 percent. "If the number of seats in the car is 6 people, it can be for 3 people, and everyone must wear a mask," said Anies.

Then, two-wheeled transportation such as online motorcycle taxis is prohibited from carrying people (passengers). "We arrange motorcycle taxis in accordance with the guidelines, namely goods expedition services including application-based two-wheeled transportation facilities with restrictions only for carrying goods and not for transporting passengers," said Anies.

In addition, Anies requires all vehicles, both public and private modes of transportation to reduce the number of passengers by 50 percent in one vehicle. Then, all public transportation experiences a reduction in operating time, which starts at 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. WIB.
