The Corruption Perception Index (CPI) 2024 ranks at 180 countries and territories around the world based on the perception of the level of corruption in the public sector, with an assessment scale of 0 (very corrupt) to 100 (very clean).

CPI 2024 recorded that the country that is the cleanest from corruption is Denmark. Ranking at the top, the country region in Europe won a score of 90. After Denmark's position was followed by Finland (88) and Singapore (84).

"Corruption is a global threat that continues to grow that not only undermines development, but is also the main cause of the decline in democracy, instability, and human rights violations," said shot Valarian, Chair of Transparency International, quoted by CNBC Indonesia.

Indonesia won a score of 37 in the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) 2024. This score positioned Indonesia to be ranked 99 out of 180 countries.

When compared to neighboring countries, Indonesia's position is certainly still far behind. You can see when compared to Singapore (Skor 84) which is in the top three cleanest countries in the world. Meanwhile, Malaysia (skor 50) is ranked 57 out of 180 countries, and Vietnam (skor 40) is ranked 88 out of 180 countries.
