Activist Asks Ngada Police Chief To Be Inactive Fajar Widyadharma Allegedly Obscene 3 Children In NTT To Be Fired

JAKARTA - Women and children from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Sarah Lery Mboeik urged the National Police Headquarters to fire and criminalize the inactive Police Chief AKBP Fajar Widyadharma Lukman who was suspected of molesting three minors in NTT.

"It is very unfortunate with the behavior of such police officers," said Sarah when met at the NTT Police Headquarters, NTT, Tuesday, March 11, as reported by Antara.

This was conveyed by Sarah in connection with the alleged sexual abuse case committed by the Ngada Police Chief, NTT, who is now inactive, Fajar Widyadharma Lukman, against three minors. Fajar is also suspected of being positive for taking methamphetamine.

The three children who were victims were 14 years old, 12 years and three years old. When committing the act of obscenity, the perpetrator recorded it and the video was sent to an overseas porn site.

Sarah emphasized that the case must be a record for regional police throughout Indonesia to check their members so they don't do the same.

"Don't let just one police chief, don't let anything else happen, so there must be hard work for every regional leader, every regional police to trace cases like this," added the former DPD member.

According to him, the actions committed by Fajar are very inappropriate acts to exemplified to the new police officers.

Meanwhile, the Director of the NTT Women's House, Badminton Sinlaeloe, highlighted the high number of cases of sexual violence in NTT that often befell children.

According to him, cases of sexual violence took second place after cases of domestic violence in the region.

According to him, victims, especially children, must immediately receive intensive psychosocial assistance.

"Victims who are very young, for example 3 years, 11 years, or 15 years old, need special assistance so that they can recover from trauma that has the potential to make an impression for life," he said.
