Floods And Landslides In Sukabumi: One Death Toll, Seven Missing People

SUKABUMI Flood and landslide disasters that hit Sukabumi Regency, West Java, from Thursday night to Friday morning resulted in the death of one resident and seven others still missing.

"The victims came from Simpenan, Lengkong, and Palabuhanratu sub-districts," said Sukabumi Regency Operations Control Center Manager for the Regional Disaster Management Agency (Pusdalops BPBD), Daeng Sutisna, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, March 7.

The details of the victims included one resident who died and one person missing in Simpenan District, three people missing in Lengkong District, and two people missing in Palabuhanratu District.

According to Daeng, the joint SAR team is still searching for the victims who were lost due to this disaster.

Meanwhile, the number of affected residents is still in data collection because information continues to grow. However, all areas affected by floods and landslides have received treatment.

Based on temporary data, the sub-districts affected by the disaster include Kadudampit, Curugkembar, Simpenan, Palabuhanratu, Waluran, Bantargadung, Cisaat, Cikembar, Warungkiara, Sagarten, Lengkong, Jampantengah, Ciemas, Cimanggu, Pabuaran, Gunungguruh, Cikakak, and Cisaat.
