After The Red Notice, The National Police Headquarters Submits A Request For The Extradition Of Jozeph Paul Zhang Through The Ministry Of Law And Human Rights

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters is coordinating with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) to submit a request for extradition against Jozeph Paul Zhang alias Shindy Paul Soerjomoelyono.

Kabareskrim Polri, Komjen Agus Andrianto, said this effort was carried out as a first step so that Jozeph Paul Zhang could be brought to Indonesia after being arrested.

"We submit a request to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to propose the extradition process in question," said Komjen Agus to reporters, Friday, April 23.

This effort is not the only step taken by the National Police. This is because previously there was a request for red notice issuance to Interpol through the Police Divhubinter.

"While waiting for the red notice processing to Interpol," he said.

However, Komjen Agus did not clearly disclose the request. He emphasized that the Police will continue to resolve this case.

Jozeph Paul Zhang, whose real name is Shindy Paul Soerjomoeljono, was hunted by the Indonesian police for making content containing hate speech and blasphemy.

Bareskrim Polri has submitted a request to the Directorate General of Immigration, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, to revoke Jozeph Paul Zhang's passport who is now abroad. If the passport is revoked, he will become stateless or stateless and cannot travel to any country.

Bareskrim Polri announced today that it has sent a letter to Interpol Headquarters in France to issue a red notice, to narrow down Jozeph Paul's movement.
