JAKARTA - The Muhammadiyah Youth Center (PP) leadership supports the Attorney General's (AGO) efforts to resolve corruption cases in a transparent, professional and legal manner.
This was conveyed by the Secretary of PP Pemuda Muhammadiyah for Economics and Entrepreneurship Affandi Affan in response to the development of the alleged corruption case of crude oil governance and refinery products at PT Pertamina Subholding and Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) in 2018 2023.
"We believe that the Attorney General's Office will carry out its duties with integrity and professionalism. Clear legal certainty will maintain national stability and prevent potential politicization which could actually cloud the situation," Affandi said in a statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, March 5, as reported by Antara.
PP Muhammadiyah emphasized that the legal process must run professionally, uphold the principle of presumption of innocence, and be based on strong evidence so as not to cause broad legal uncertainty.
Affandi said the estimated state loss of Rp193.7 trillion in this case needed to be explained in detail so as not to cause unrest in the community.
"Transparency in the legal process is very important so that trust in state institutions and strategic SOEs such as Pertamina is maintained," he said.
