BOGOR - Was in flood alert status, Wednesday morning, March 5, the upstream status of the Ciliwung River which leads to Jakarta and the Cileungsi River which leads to Bekasi in normal status.

Based on a report from the Ciliwung River Monitoring Post at Katulampa Dam at 05.00 WIB, Water Level (TMA) is 50 centimeters or in normal status.

The normal status of the Ciliwung flow at the Panus Sluice Gate, Depok TMA 155 cm and Manggarai Water Gate 720 cm with cloudy weather conditions. Meanwhile, the flood alert status was reported to be only at the Sunter Hulu Sluice Gate with a TMA of 150 cm.

Head of Katulampa Dam Supervisory, Andi Sudirman, said that the water discharge of the Ciliwung river has gradually started since Tuesday 4 nights, along with sunny weather upstream of Puncak Bogor.

"Tuesday night the water discharge began to recede and Wednesday morning it was normal. This was because the intensity of rain upstream of the Cisarua Peak stopped and the weather was sunny," said Andi.

Even so, continued Andi, residents who live along the river should always be vigilant because the weather in Bogor today still has the potential to rain.

Meanwhile, the Cileungsi River TMA has also been in a normal condition since Tuesday night. Based on data from the Cileungsi Cikeas Community (KP2C) at 21.00, the upstream TMA of Cileungsi is normal with a 100 cm TMA. Likewise, the Cikeas 190 cm river TMA is in normal condition.

Previously, on Monday, March 3 and Tuesday night the TMA of three rivers that had upstream in Bogor overflowed to flood alert status after rainy weather flushed Bogor in the last two days.
