DKI Provincial Government Asked To Strengthen Ramadan Command Post To Prevent Brawl

JAKARTA - Member of Commission E of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Imamuddin, asked the DKI Provincial Government to provide Ramadan posts in Jakarta to prevent brawls. Given, entering the month of Ramadan, brawls often occur in the early hours of the morning until before dawn.

He emphasized the importance of preventive measures to prevent brawls, especially before the month of Ramadan. The Ramadan Command Post is one of these ways.

"Indeed, before this fasting, I have always lived here seeing that this area must have Ramadan posts. And that needs to be strengthened again," said Imamuddin in his statement, Sunday, March 2.

Immaddin invites all parties to play an active role in supervising and providing education to children about the dangers of brawls and other forms of violence.

Immaddin hopes that with the supervision and synergy between various parties, the number of student brawls can be suppressed, so that people can perform fasting more safely and comfortably.

"Collaboration between the executive and the legislature is very necessary. We as a supervisory function see that there are still many problems in the community that have not been resolved, one of which is a brawl," he said.

In this regard, Polda Metro Jaya prohibits the implementation of sahur on the road (SOTR) during the fasting month or Ramadan. Because, the negative impact of these activities arises.

"What is clear is that like last year, this sahur on the road is very not allowed," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman to reporters, Thursday, February 27.

One of the negative impacts is that there was a fight between groups and brawls. Generally, the action of fighting against forces on the road is often carried out by teenagers.

"Especially we urge young people that if they meet, they end up fighting, fighting, this is what we really avoid," he said.

Therefore, Polda Metro Jaya is said to be taking preventive measures by holding large-scale patrols. In this activity, the police will also be involved.

It is hoped that security during the night of Ramadan will be felt by all people of Jakarta and several other buffer areas.

"Yes, of course, large-scale patrol activities carried out by the Polda Metro Jaya in which there are Ditlantas ranks, we will carry out in each Polres," said Latif.
