Prosecutors Arrested For Embezzlement Of Fahrenheit Trading Robot Victim's Assets Of IDR 11.5 Billion

JAKARTA - The DKI High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has arrested a former Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the West Jakarta District Attorney with the initials AZ for alleged embezzlement of assets of victims of the "Fahrenheit Trading Robot" case with the defendant HS.

Head of the DKI Attorney General's Office, Patris Yusrian Jaya, explained that the case began on December 23, 2023, when the execution of the return of evidence in the "Fahrenheit Trading Robot" case was around Rp61.4 billion.

The money should have been fully returned to the victim, represented by the victim's attorneys, namely BG and OS. However, it turned out that the two attorneys for the victim were preparing a plan and persuaded the prosecutor with the initials AZ to embezzle funds.

"On persuasion of the victim's attorneys, namely BG and OS, some of them worth Rp. 11.5 billion were given to the prosecutor with the initials AZ who currently serves as Head of Intelligence at the West Kalimantan Landak District Attorney, and the rest were taken by the two attorneys," Patris said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 27.

Patris explained that when returning the assets, the two attorneys and prosecutors with the initials AZ only returned Rp38.2 billion.

Then, the remaining Rp23.2 billion was distributed to the prosecutor with the initials AZ with a value of Rp11.5 billion and the rest for the victim's attorney.

"For this action, the DKI Attorney General's Office investigators have examined several parties on February 24, 2025, namely one individual prosecutor with the initials AZ who has been named a suspect," he said.

Dalam penetapan tersebut, Kejati DKI juga memblokir rekening, menyitakan aset rumah dan uang yang ditipasikan kepada istri tersangka.

The legal authority of the initials BG has been questioned and sufficient evidence is obtained to be determined as a suspect.

Meanwhile, one lawyer for the victim's initials OS with the status of a witness was declared not to have fulfilled the summons.

"For this reason, the victim's attorney, OS, is advised to cooperate in undergoing the legal process by fulfilling the investigator's summons," added Patris.

Currently, the suspect BG is being investigated and the suspect Attorney AZ has been detained at the Salemba Rutan at the Attorney General's Office for the next 20 days.
