AGO Searches PT OTM Location Blending Pertamina Corruption Case

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office searched the PT Orbit Terminal Merak (OTM) building in Cilegon, Banten, which is suspected of being the place for blocking fuel oil related to the alleged corruption case of crude oil management and refinery products in 2018-2023.

"Since this morning investigators have also conducted a search in Cilegon, in one place, namely PT OTM which is suspected of being a storage or a depot that accommodates imported oil. That is currently ongoing," said Head of the Legal Information Center of the AGO Harli Siregar as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, February 27.

In addition to the location of PT OTM, Harli explained that investigators also searched a house on Jalan Panglima Polim, South Jakarta.

When reporters asked whether the house belonged to businessman Muhammad Riza Chalid, Harli agreed.

For information, the son of Riza Chalid, Muhammad Kerry Andrianto Riza (MKAR), as the beneficial owner of PT Navigator Khatulistiwa was named one of the suspects in the alleged corruption case of the management of crude oil and refinery products.

"From the information, that's the case," he said.

Investigators also returned to inspect Riza Chalid's house on Jalan Jenggala 2, South Jakarta, which was allegedly used as an office.

"Further searches are still being carried out at the house suspected of being an office on Jalan Jenggala 2, and investigators found at least 144 bundles of document files," said Harli.

He said the evidence that was secured from the search would be investigated by investigators to uncover this corruption case.

"Of course it is being checked whether there is a connection with this case because from some information information, of course the goods or documents needed by investigators are in the places mentioned. Therefore, investigators must properly search the data, information, documents needed," he explained.

Dlam revealed two new suspects on Wednesday (26/2), namely Maya Kusmaya (MK) as Director of Central and Commercial Marketing of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga and Edward Corne (EC) as VP Trading Operations of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, the AGO revealed the mode of blending in this corruption case.

Director of Investigation at the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General's Office Abdul Qohar said the two new suspects agreed with the approval of the suspect Riva Siahaan as the President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga to purchase RON 90 or lower fuel with a RON 92 type fuel price, resulting in payment for imports of refinery products at high prices and not in accordance with the quality of goods.

Then the suspect Maya Kusmaya ordered or gave approval to Edward Corne to conduct a blending of refinery products at the RON 88 (premium) type with RON 92 (first) in order to produce RON 92.

The blocking process, said Qohar, was carried out at the terminal or storage PT Orbit Terminal Merak (OTM) belonging to the suspect Muhammad Kerry Andrianto Riza (MKAR) as the beneficial owner of PT Navigator Equatorial and owned by Gading Ramadhan Joedo (GRJ) as Commissioner of PT Jenggala Maritime and President Director of PT Orbit Terminal Merak.

The Blending fuel is sold for RON 92 (first) fuel.

"This is not in accordance with the procurement process for refinery and business products of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga," said Qohar.

The AGO has named nine suspects in the case of alleged corruption in crude oil management and refinery products in 2018 2023, namely Riva Siahaan (RS) as President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Sani Dinar Saifuddin (SDS) as Director of Feedstock and Product Optimization of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, Yoki Firnandi (YF) as President Director of PT Pertamina International Shipping, Agus Purwono (AP) as VP of Feedstock Management of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, Maya Kusmaya (MK) as Director of Central and Niaga Marketing of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, and Edward Corne (EC) as VP Trading Operations of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga.

Other suspects, namely Muhammad Kerry Andrianto Riza (MKAR) as thebeneficial owner of PT Navigator Khatulistiwa, Dimas Werhaspati (DW) as the Commissioner of PT Navigator Khatulistiwa as well as Commissioner of PT Jenggala Maritim, and Gading Ramadhan Joedo (GRJ) as Commissioner of PT Jenggala Maritime and President Director of PT Orbit Terminal Merak.
