Responding To Pertamina's Corruption Case, Cak Imin Arranges Fuel Subsidy Patterns

Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment (Menko PM) Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) said he was preparing a subsidized gasoline distribution pattern.

The statement was made in connection with the alleged corruption case of crude oil management and refinery products of PT Pertamina Subholding and Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) for the period 2018-2023.

"We are currently recommending the right energy subsidy pattern," said Cak Imin to reporters at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Thursday, February 27.

The preparation of distribution patterns is not only carried out by the Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment. But in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).

Thus, it is hoped that the pattern of subsidized gasoline distribution can be right on target and not misused.

"We are working together with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources to discuss the pattern and way of working on energy subsidies that we are still improving," said Cak Imin.

The AGO named nine suspects in the case. They are the President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Riva Siahaan (RS); SDS; JF; AP; MKAR; DW; and GRJ.

Most recently, travelers also appointed the Director of Central & Commercial Marketing of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Maya Kusmaya (MK); and VP Trading Operation of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Edward Corne (EC), as suspects.

The suspects violated the SOE procurement rules and planned imports of fuel oil. The AGO estimates state losses as a result of this case reaching Rp193.7 trillion.
