JAKARTA - The Governor-Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung-Rano Karno has started implementing free transportation services, such as Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta to 15 groups of people. This is an implementation of his campaign promise in the 2024 Pilkada.
The fifteen groups start from civil servants of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and retired civil servants, contract workers of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Students who receive KJP Plus, employees who pay UMP through Bank DKI, residents of the flats, the PKK Mobilization Team, residents with Thousand Islands ID cards.
Then, recipients of the Jabodetabek domicile racekin, members of the TNI and Polri, Indonesian veterans, people with disabilities, the elderly over 60 years old, administrators of houses of worship, PAUD educators, and larva or jumantik monitoring interpreters.
This community group has actually received free transportation facilities, but only Transjakarta. Rano said this program was also expanded to the Jakarta MRT and Jakarta LRT.
"In the future, in our 100 working day program, this service will also include other modes of transportation, such as MRT Jakarta and LRT Jakarta," said Rano at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, February 26.
Previously, free transportation services in Jakarta only targeted mosque administrators or marbots. Now, facilities are extended to administrators of all places of worship including churches, temples, monasteries, and pagodas in DKI Jakarta.
"The list of 15 groups of people who get free Transjakarta services does include mosque administrators. However, we need to emphasize that this policy does not only apply to mosque administrators, but also to all administrators of houses of worship in DKI Jakarta," explained Rano.
On that occasion, Rano said that this program aims to provide support to house of worship administrators in carrying out service tasks to the community without being burdened with transportation costs.
