Members Of The TNI Who Attacked The Tarakan Police Were Examined

JAKARTA - A member of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) who is suspected of carrying out an attack at the Tarakan Resort Police (Polresta), North Kalimantan underwent an examination.

"An investigation has been carried out on TNI personnel suspected of carrying out an attack, we will convey the results further," said Head of Information for Kodam VI/Mulawarman Colonel Kav Kristiyanto as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 25.

Danyonif 613/Rja as the main unit of the soldier concerned immediately held an extraordinary rally, then conducted an examination of the suspect, together with Military Regional Command (Kodam) VI/Mulawarman taking steps to resolve the problem professionally.

Quick and measurable steps are taken as a form of command responsibility and commitment in maintaining the discipline of soldiers.

The suspects involved in the attack were members of the Assignment Assistance (BP) of the Battalion 614/RJP Task Force.

"The incident was just a misunderstanding between individuals or individuals, not an inter-institutional issue," he continued.

Panglima Kodam (Pangdam) VI/Mulawarman Maj. Gen. Rudy Rachmat Nugraha has also communicated or coordinated with the North Kalimantan Regional Police Chief (Kapolda) regarding the incident.

All parties, including the Tarakan Police have coordinated and carried out mediation to avoid further escalation.

"At the lower level, there is Danrem 092 which oversees the Tarakan area and has coordinated with the Resort Police for completion," he said.
