JAKARTA - Pope Francis, who is currently hospitalized with pneumonia, can rest overnight after suffering from asthma which makes his condition critical.
"The night passed peacefully, the Pope rested," the Vatican's Holy Throne said in a statement on Sunday.
The day before, Francis had difficulty breathing, so he had to be given oxygen and blood transfusions.
"His condition is still critical, but he is still conscious," said the Holy Throne.
