Susi Pudjiastuti Elected As General Chair Of Stand Up Panddle Indonesia

JAKARTA - Susi Pudjiastuti was elected as the general chairman of Indonesia's stand-up middle for the 2025-2028 period.

The former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries in 2014-2019 advised all stand-up middle activists to always pay attention to environmental cleanliness and reduce the use of plastic in everyday life.

He emphasized that the preservation of the water ecosystem is a shared responsibility, especially for communities that are active in the sea, rivers and lakes.

"Stand up middle is not just a sport, but also the way we interact with nature. Therefore, we must maintain cleanliness and reduce plastic waste," said Susi in a written statement received in Jakarta, Saturday.

"I invite all SUP communities in Indonesia to regularly hold beach clean-ups or clean-up on beaches, rivers, lakes, or other SUP playgrounds. That way, we can enjoy this sport while keeping the environment sustainable."

Stand Up Payddle Indonesia is an organization that houses communities and stand-up middle athletes throughout Indonesia. Focusing on the development of sports and environmental conservation, the organization is actively conducting various educational activities, competitions, and cleaning campaigns in various water areas in Indonesia.

In addition to the cleaning campaign, during its management period, Susi is also committed to developing up-paddle stands throughout Indonesia.

With the support of various communities and related parties, Indonesia's stand-up middle will expand the reach of this sport, increase competition and training for athletes, and introduce SUP to the wider community as a healthy and environmentally friendly sports activity.
