The Dark Indonesia Demonstration Managed When The Mass Enlivened The Police With Molotov

JAKARTA - Although they had a chance to argue with the police, the Central Jakarta Metro Police stated that no demonstrators were arrested during the Dark Indonesia action in the Horse Statue area, Monas, Central Jakarta on Friday, February 21.

"Nothing, nothing has been secured in action for this week," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro to reporters, Friday, February 21.

Today's demonstration ended at 20.30 WIB. The previous action participants packed the horse statue area since 14.00 WIB. There was a tension with the police on guard.

There were even members of the mass demonstration who threw Molotov cocktails and firecrackers at the officers. Luckily there were no victims in the incident.

Kombes Susatyo admitted that although the demonstration was chaotic, none of his men were injured. He added that the action participants also left the horse statue in a safe condition.

"Until now there have been no police victims, nor have there been no victims from the mass side, the point is, Alhamdulillah, all activities today can run safely and smoothly," he said.

The demo situation started to heat up when the action participants began throwing at the officers on guard behind the concrete barrier.

"Some of the masses are starting to melt but some are making provocations to the officers by throwing Molotov cocktails, then there are also rocket firecrackers," he said.
