Deputy Governor of DKI Rano Karno or called Bang Doel first went directly to the flood site, East Cilandak, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno or familiarly known as Bang Doel at the beginning of his administration went directly to the flood site, precisely in the Krukut River segment of Jalan NIS, East Cilandak, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.

"Today, the first work on this agenda is one of the first 100-day work programs, namely dredging the entire river," said Rano Karno, Friday, February 21.

Rano said he would dredge all the times in Jakarta to control flooding.

At around 08.45 WIB, Rano walked through a small alley in the flood-prone area. Not to forget he also greeted local residents.

He seemed enthusiastic to hear an explanation from the Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Water Resources Service, Ika Agustin Ningrum, and the Mayor of South Jakarta Munjirin.

This Friday, Rano Karno became the interim governor of DKI for a week considering that Pramono underwent a retret or briefing at the Military Academy (Akmil), Magelang, Central Java, for February 21-28, 2025.

The dredging of all rivers or rivers to prevent flooding in Jakarta is Pramono Anung and Rano Karno's first task after being inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto.

Pramono and Rano will conduct a "Senja Parade" involving around 5,000 Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling Officers (PPSU) in the context of flood management in Jakarta.

The dredging of this time is one of the tasks of the 100 working day program that will be carried out by Pramono Anung-Rano Karno as Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta.

Prior to the inauguration, Doel and his wife visited Pramono's residence in Cipete, South Jakarta at 06.11 WIB.

A total of 961 regional heads, consisting of 33 governors and 33 deputy governors, 363 regents, 362 deputy regents, 85 mayors and 85 deputy mayors were sworn in in a series of processions at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Thursday.

The inauguration ceremony was led directly by President Prabowo Subianto who would take the oath of office of elected regional heads.

The simultaneous inauguration of regional heads is said to be a historic moment that marks the government's strong commitment to creating a more effective, efficient, transparent and public service-oriented regional government.
