The Name KH. Hasyim Asy'ari Missing In The History Dictionary Of The Ministry Of Education And Culture Should Not Be Underestimated, Must Be Investigated

JAKARTA - Member of the PKS DPR faction, Mardani Ali Sera, assessed that the name of the founder of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), KH. Hasyim Asyari in the History Dictionary of the Republic of Indonesia Volume I must be followed up. Moreover, the textbook actually emphasizes communist figures and even names of former terrorists.

"The elimination of the contribution of the clerics and the prominence of figures close to other ideologies (communists, ed) must be thoroughly investigated," Mardani told reporters, Thursday, April 22.

The Chairman of the DPP PKS urged the problem of losing the name of the national hero and founder of the NU mass organization in the History Dictionary created by the Ministry of Education and Culture needs to be thoroughly investigated.

"So, it is necessary to investigate what is the meaning and who is the master mind," he said.

According to him, the refutation of the Director General (Dirjen) of Culture of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Hilmar Farid as a historian could be a discourse. However, his position as Director General of Culture of the Ministry of Education and Culture is very strategic and substantial.

He urged an investigation into the loss of the name of the founder of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) KH Hasyim Asyari in Volume I of the Indonesian History Dictionary published by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud).

The chairman of the DPR BKSAP could not understand how a figure of Hadratus' caliber had disappeared from the book. He suspected that someone wanted to twist history.

"An investigation must be made immediately as to why the important figure KH Hasyim Asy'ari who originated the Jihad Resolution could be lost, while the communists could exist.
