The fatal collision that occurred at the railroad crossing (KA) Pondok Jati Station, Palmeriam Village, Matraman District, East Jakarta caused two motorbikes and one pickup car carrying a 3 kilogram gas cylinder (kg), ringsek.

The three vehicles were hit by a freight transport train that came to Jatinegara Station on Wednesday, February 19, evening.

As a result of the deadly accident, 4 motorcyclists and cars became victims.

The victim with the initials E (15) who was a junior high school student was found dead in a pathetic manner at the scene. E is a motorcycle passenger driven by his father. The victim's body with the initials E was then evacuated using an ambulance belonging to PMI to RSCM.

In addition to E, another victim with the initials DI (47) also experienced a critical condition due to being hit by a train. DI victim is also a Honda Supra motorcycle rider with the number B 6565 KES. DI victim was taken to the nearest hospital. Meanwhile, the other two survivors had the initials MN (21) and S (40).

MN and S are car drivers carrying 3 kg gas cylinders, numbered B 9717 TAZ. The car was driven by MN, while S was the assistant.

After being hit by a train, the Carry car was towed by a East Jakarta fire engine.

"We deployed 2 units of fire engines to evacuate cars and motorbikes involved in traffic accidents at Pondok Jati Station," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Abdul Wahid.

The evacuation was completed at around 19.45 WIB. Based on the information gathered, the accident occurred when the motorbike and car that were stolen by the victim were about to cross towards Jalan Raya Matraman.

Then after crossing the train, car and motorbike driven by the victims were trapped on the track due to traffic jams. Meanwhile, the crossing door was about to be closed because the train was about to pass.

Not long after, the freight transport train arrived. Meanwhile, the flow of the vehicle at the scene locked.

As the train approached, the driver of the car with the initials MN and its kernet with the initials S jumped out of the car to save themselves. The two of them jumped in panic when they saw the train was approaching.

Meanwhile, the motorbike driven by the victim DI was also trapped. DI's motorbike is behind the car driven by MN.

At the time of the incident, DI was carrying E (15) his son (who died) and K. DI, who was also carrying cardboard, was also stuck in traffic. DI also ordered E to jump off the motorbike.

However, victim E was hit and caught in a passing train. Victim E died. As a result of this incident, the motorbike driven by DI was also bounced due to a collision from a carry car that was hit by a train first.

The victim's motorbike was also hit by a car and a wall. While DI was in critical condition, he got a broken leg.

According to Septi alias Mancung, an eye witness at the scene, initially the train hit was a pickup car.

"One motorbike doesn't want to back down, instead it wants to force it to come forward, then a private car can't move forward because it caught the motorbike in front of it. When this car was going forward (pick up) it was immediately hit, only it was thought that there were no victims, it turned out that someone had slipped one (victim E who died)," he said at the location.

"With one of your father's children, he got under the locomotive, one died, the father was still alive," he added.

Previously, it was reported that the Pondok Jati train crossing (KA), Matraman, East Jakarta, again claimed lives on Wednesday, February 19, evening.

This time, the victim came from a motorbike passenger who was stuck in traffic at the Pondok Jati train crossing. The victim had the initials E (15) a junior high school student in East Jakarta. He was killed by a freight train from the direction of Jatinegara.

The incident occurred around 19.00 WIB. According to Kevin, the victim's twin brother, the incident occurred when his father and his twin brother (the victim died) were crossing the railroad crossing.

"My sister was riding with my father on a motorbike. The motorbike was stuck at the crossing because there was a car stopped (trapped in a traffic jam) in front of the car. Then the train came and was hit by a train," Kevin told reporters at the scene.

The motorbike driven by the victim came from the direction of the wood orangutan to Jalan Raya Matraman. When the motorbike passed at the railroad crossing, there was a traffic jam.

Not only did the motorbike driven by the victim's father who was stuck in traffic jams, the car was also stuck in traffic jams. The car was also hit by a train but the driver survived, while the car only suffered abrasions.

"Because in front of there is a car so the motorbike can't move. It was hit by a train," he said
