Police Arrest 2 Silat Warriors In Blitar, Drug Dealer, Dangerous

BLITAR - Polres Blitar, East Java, arrested two fighters from a silat college in Blitar Raya for being involved in a drug abuse case.

Blitar Police Chief AKBP Arif Fazlurrahman explained that the two fighters arrested were MRPS (18), a resident of Klemunan Village, Wlingi District, Blitar Regency and HS (18), a resident of Babadan Village, Wlingi District, Blitar.

"We have arrested two suspects in a criminal case of distributing dangerous hard drugs in the form of double pills," he said in Blitar, Wednesday, February 19.

The arrests of the two began with the results of an investigation conducted by members. From the hands of the two, the police confiscated 303 pills of double L. The goods were then confiscated by the police.

In addition, during a search conducted at the perpetrator's house, it turned out that the police found the two of them also fighters from a silat college in Blitar Raya. In the house concerned, many community attributes were found.

The police also examined cell phones confiscated from the perpetrators. As a result, the perpetrator was also involved in a case of provocation in front of the Blitar Police Headquarters on Thursday (13/2).

The provocation was recorded in the WhatsApp group and the status leading to provocations to other fighters.

"When we conducted an examination at the perpetrator's house, we found many attributes from one of the silat colleges in Blitar Raya Regency. The confession in question is a member of the silat college," he said.

His party assessed that the action taken by the person concerned actually caused a negative impression to influence other pesilat members.

This, he said, was also an evaluation of its own silat college in Blitar Regency to better monitor its citizens, maintain the good name of other well-known silat universities.

Currently, the two youths are still being held at the Blitar Police Headquarters for case development. They are threatened with being charged with Article 435 and Article 436 of Law (UU) Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health.
