JAKARTA The train door of Pondok Jati station, Matraman, East Jakarta claimed lives. One minor was reported to have died when he was hit by a train. Not only that, but a car carrying a gas cylinder of 3 kilograms (kg) was also hit by a train.

As is known, the problem of traffic at the train door of Pondok Jati Station has never been handled by the responsible party. Until finally today, Wednesday afternoon at around 18.10 WIB, an accident occurred that claimed lives.

Information from VOI journalists at the scene, that afternoon the traffic conditions at the Pondok Jati Station train crossing gate looked very congested. It was not unusual that the location was very congested and crowded. Cars and motorbikes from various directions piled up at one point. They were fighting over the road at the small train door.

Because of the creeping solid, high speed trains cannot stop their speed suddenly. Although the warning sign has been turned on, dozens of vehicles passing at the train door cannot move.

As a result, the train hit a 3 kg gas cylinder transporter and a motorcycle rider who at that time was three. A small child was hit by a train because he was caught in a congestion situation at the Pondok Jati train door.

At the scene of the incident so crowded, firefighters were seen at the location trying to evacuate the fallen gas cars and cylinders.

Meanwhile, the victim's child's body was hit by a train while being evacuated to Pondok Jati Station. Until this news was revealed, there had been no official statement from the police, both the Matraman Police and the East Jakarta Metro Police.
