Garut Police Investigate Case Of Persecution Of Banser Members

Garut Resort Police conducted an investigation into a case of abuse that befell a member of the Multipurpose Ansor Front (Banser) by an unknown person in Garut Regency, West Java, resulting in injuries who had to receive medical treatment.

"Yes, yesterday there was a report in our investigation," said Garut Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP Joko Prihatin as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 17.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Public Relations Section of the Garut Police, Ipda Susilo Adhi, said that there was a report related to the case of mistreatment of Banser members to the Garut Police, by representatives of the Garut Ansor Youth Movement (GP), Sunday (16/2) night.

The report, he said, had been received and then the handling was submitted to the Criminal Investigation Unit for an investigation to find the culprit.

"The perpetrator is still under investigation by officers," said Adhi.

GP Ansor Garut representatives officially made a report to the Garut Police, Sunday (16/2) night regarding the case of abuse that befell one of the Banser members, Muhammad Aliyudin (21) by an unknown number of people estimated to be two people.

Garut's GP Ansor representative, Fahmi Taufiq Zain, said that his party together with the Legal Aid Institute (LBH) Ansor Garut officially made a report hoping that the perpetrators of the persecution could be arrested and processed according to applicable legal regulations.

"We hope that with the report we made, the police can quickly arrest two suspected perpetrators of the persecution," he said.

Currently, the victim's condition is still under medical treatment because his condition is worrying about the condition of a collision wound to the head due to being beaten.

The victim, he said, had fainted at the time of the incident, then realized and did not remember what happened before, then could remember again when he was in the hospital.

The abuse occurred when the victim returned home after securing the recitation, but in the middle of the road in the Haurpanggung area, Tarogong Kidul District, at around 02.00 WIB, the motorcycle he was driving broke down.

The victim then pushed his motorbike towards his return, but on the road the victim saw two groups of teenagers fighting, then suddenly someone attacked him and then hit him, and kicked him until the victim was helpless and had to be taken to the hospital.
