KPK Adjusts Investigation Process After Performing Budget Efficiency Of IDR 201 Billion

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has adjusted the investigation process after carrying out budget efficiency according to President Prabowo Subianto's instructions. They worked around it by working more effectively so that the cases handled could be resolved.

"I think we need to be effective and efficient. Especially now that our colleagues know there is also budget efficiency," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters quoted on Saturday, February 15.

"Although it does not necessarily affect. However, especially in activities, one of which is official travel, the KPK needs to regulate how the investigation process is," he continued.

With these various adjustments, the KPK hopes that investigators can continue to achieve the target.

"By not disturbing, or disrupting the current budgeting process," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

The KPK cut its budget to IDR 201 billion. This was known in the working meeting of Commission III of the DPR RI on Wednesday, February 12 yesterday.

"In the context of efficiency carried out by the Government which we also support, in 2025 our budget can be utilized in the amount of Rp. 201 billion, the ceiling after the reconstruction to Rp. 1.03 trillion," said Agus Joko.

Agus Joko detailed that this budget was allocated to personnel expenditures of Rp. 790 billion, goods expenditures of Rp. 233.91 billion, and capital expenditures of Rp. 11.82 billion.

"This reconstruction causes the KPK budget to be streamlined at Rp. 201 billion, where the largest decline in goods expenditures is Rp. 194.1 billion and capital expenditures have decreased by Rp. 6.9 billion," he explained.

This efficiency is then said to have made the anti-corruption commission adjust the work pattern. Among them, reducing the number of personnel in handling cases of rasuah to limiting official travel.

"In this context, we reduce the number of official travel days and the number of people in carrying out assignments, investigations, investigations, and prosecutions," he said.

This condition, Agus said, had an impact on the workload of KPK employees. However, his party is committed to supporting budget efficiency.

"This means that KPK employees, KPK personnel will receive a workload that is slightly higher than before," concluded Agus.
